Pendrel rides to World-Cup silver
Catharine Pendrel of Kamloops placed second at a World Cup women’s mountain-bike race in New York state.
France’s Julie Bresset recorded her third victory of the season, outpacing Pendrel in the final stretch of the 28.7-kilometre, five-lap race.
Pendrel sits second behind Bresset in the circuit’s overall standings with two races remaining.
