Sun Devils shine in Okanagan final
The Kamloops Sun Devils topped Kelowna 3-2 in the Okanagan Major Baseball League final on the weekend.
Denver Wynn pitched eight innings for Kamloops, giving up two runs on three hits.
Pat Brown batted two runs in for the Sun Devils.
With the win, Kamloops earned the right to represent the Okanagan at the B.C. senior provincial championship, which gets underway in Kelowna on Friday, July 29.
The Sun Devils, competing in Pool A, open their tournament against Burnaby at 4 p.m. on Friday.
Kamloops meets Trail at 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 30, and Victoria at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 31.
Playing in Pool A are Coquitlam, Nanaimo, Prince George and Kelowna.
