The TRU WolfPack signed defenceman Mike McCance, the former captain of the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League's (KIJHL) Kamloops Storm.

He joins former Storm members Anthony Manfredi, Jassi Sangha, David Gore, Cody Lockwood and Duncan Schulz in the Pack's lineup.

“I’m excited to be able to play with some of my former teammates and attend TRU,” McCance said.

He appeared in 46 games with the Storm in the 2010-2011 campaign, scoring 10 goals and adding 21 assists.

McCance added 245 penalty minutes and was named the team’s most valuable player.

He was also awarded a KIJHL Scholarship award.

“I am pleased that Mike has chosen to further his education at TRU and join us," Pack GM Chris Hans said.

"Mike is a quality person who brings tremendous leadership abilities.

"I expect Mike to be able to step right into our lineup and provide a stable influence on our blueline.”
