Local talent at Blazers' rookie camp
There will be six local players at Kamloops Blazers' rookie camp, which opens on Friday, Aug. 26.
Goaltenders Liam McLeod, Austin Piquette and Ty Hamer-Jackson, forwards Diego Cuglietta and Nick Fidanza and defenceman Wes Matsuda are at camp.
McLeod, Fidanza and Matsuda played for the tier 1 Kamloops Jardine's Blazers last season, while Piquette spent last season with Pursuit of Excellence in Kelowna.
McLeod was a ninth-round pick in the 2011 WHL Bantam Draft.
