Local bowlers throw strikes at Seniors Games

A group of Kamloops bowlers brought home medals from the B.C. Seniors Games in Trail last month.

June Stewart won a gold medal for the ladies’ high single game and a silver for most pins-over-average in a single game.

Bill Smedley earned two gold medals, one for men’s high single game and one for most pins-over-average over six games.

Stewart and Smedley were members of the A Team from Bowlertime.

The B Team from Falcon Lanes — Fred Byers, Norma Tangermann, Elaine Magnus, Bev Wilson and Phil Froment — won a gold medal.

Byers won two individual golds, one for most pins-over-average in a single game and the other for men’s high single game.

Magnus won gold for ladies’ high single game and bronze for most pins-over-average in a single game.

Froment won gold for most  pins-over-average in six games.
