Kamloops Broncos name award winners
The Kamloops Broncos, who finished the British Columbia Football Conference season with a 2-8 record, held an awards banquet on Monday, Oct. 10.
Defensive end Tyler Lee was named most valuable player, while linebacker Drew Makortoff and running back Micheal McMaster won the most valuable offensive and defensive player awards, respectively.
Running back Cory Constantin won the coaches' award on offence, while defensive tackle Jonah Woodward won the coaches' defensive award.
The defensive rookie of the year is linebacker Paytin Chang and running back Joel Mukendi is the offensive rookie of the year.
Offensive Lineman Kyle Crall won the award for most improved offensive player and defensive tackle Jacob Dolson won the most improved defensive player award.
Three Broncos — Chang of Kelowna, Carter Bilawchuk of Kelowna and Derek Yachison of Winnipeg — won Morfco Supplies Ltd. entrance scholarships.
