Champions Crowned in Kamloops

Grant Olsen’s Kamloops rink of Scott DeCap, Pat DeCap, Ron Douglas and John Maskiewich lost 6-3 to Andrew Bilesky of New Westminster in the men's final at the Kamloops Crown of Curling, which wrapped up on Monday, Oct. 24, at the Kamloops Curling Club.

Olsen qualified for the final by defeating Neil Dangerfield's rink in a quarter-final tilt and Trevor Perepolkin's rink in the semifinal round.

On the women’s side, Allison MacInnes and her Kamloops rinkmates Grace MacInnes, Amanda Brennan and Diane Gushulak earned one of eight quarter-final berths.

The MacInnes rink lost 8-7 to Olga Zyablikova of Moscow in the semifinal round.

Michelle Jaeggi's Switzerland rink topped Zyablikova 7-4 in the women's final.
