Wildcats topple Broncos
The Kamloops Wildcats blanked the Kamloops Broncos 32-0 in peewee Kamloops Community Football play on Sunday, Oct. 23, at Hillside Stadium.
Wildcats quarterback Carsen Day threw for 75 yards, including a 25-yard strike to Cole Simmons and another 25-yard completion to Darcy Rowden.
Reggie O'Rourke opened the scoring with a 75-yard TD run, with Adam Buholzer adding another score on a 10-yard scamper.
Ben Prokopetz had TD runs of 10, 25 and 45 yards, with Sean Smit completing the scoring with a successful convert.
Kyle Watt anchored the defence with 14 solo tackles, while Riley Eccles, Mattias Nelson, Denzel Marican and Hudson Williams combined for 16 more. Traedon Boose concluded the defensive stand with a fourth-quarter interception.
The Wildcats (2-4-1) travel to Salmon Arm on Sunday, Oct. 23, to square off against the Colts in the final regular-season game, while the Broncos (1-6-0) host the Vernon Yellow Jackets at Hillside Stadium.
