Wildcats ready for playoffs
The peewee Kamloops Wildcats completed their Kamloops Community Football regular season with a 25-12 loss to the Salmon Arm Colts on Sunday, Oct. 30.
Nick Berry led the defence with 12 solo tackles, while Cody Watt, Mattias Nelson, Sean Smit and Darcy Rowden contributed 24 tackles combined.
Drake Loewen recovered a forced fumble.
Strong blocking by Adam Buholzer, Logan Berry, Jagger Reid and Jimmy Gustason allowed Ben Prokopetz to rush for 181 yards and two touchdowns.
The Wildcats (2-5-1) will collide with the Kelowna Dragons to open the playoffs at noon on Sunday, Nov. 6 at Hillside Stadium.
