Blazers split with PG
The Kamloops Blazers split a two-game weekend series in Prince George against the Cougars.
Kamloops (12-5) beat Prince George 5-1 on Friday, Nov. 4, but the Cougars bounced back with a 3-1 win on Saturday, Nov. 5.
The Blazers sit tied atop the WHL’s Western Conference standings with the Tri-City Americans and Portland Winterhawks with 24 points.
Kamloops is hosting Red Deer at 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 11, at Interior Savings Centre.
Red Deer doubled the visiting Blazers 4-2 on Oct. 19.
The Blazers will host the Edmonton Oil Kings at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12, at ISC.
Edmonton has not played in Kamloops since Dec. 2, 2009, when the Blazers blanked the Oil Kings 5-0.
Brendan Ranford leads Kamloops in goals with 11, while Colin Smith has the most points with 21.
Netminer Cole Cheveldave boasts a 2.27 GAA and a .926 save percentage.
