Sun Peaks to welcome Canadian ski cross team
The Canadian ski cross team will be training at Sun Peaks Resort next week, from Monday, Nov. 14, to Friday, Nov. 18.
Kelsey Serwa, the reigning International Ski Federation world champion and X-Games champion, will be at Sun Peaks.
Marielle Thompson, the current Canadian ski-cross champion, will also be attending the pre-season camp.
Ashleigh McIvor, who won gold in ski cross for Canada at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Whistler, might also be in attendance, according to a Sun Peaks press release.
The training sessions are private, as the mountain is not yet open to the public.
Opening day is Nov. 19.
