Kamloops paddlers the best in B.C.
Brook Mclean and Keiffer Johnson of the Kamloops Canoe and Kayak Club were named midget athletes of the year at a recent CanoeKayak B.C. awards ceremony in Pitt Meadows.
The sprint-canoe racers from Kamloops hauled a truckload of medals for Team B.C. at the WCSG and had strong performances at the national championships, held in August in Welland, Ont.
Johnson brought home a silver medal from nationals in the midget men’s C1 200-metre race.
