Rugby-coaching course coming to Kamloops
Grubbers, Garryowens and drop goals.
Those words might not be familiar to many, but that can change in January when Kris DeScossa comes to Kamloops.
The Burnaby Lake Rugby Club head coach is teaching a Level 1 Introduction to Rugby Coaching course at Kamloops Rugby Club (471 Chilcotin Rd.) from Jan. 13 to Jan. 15.
"As we await for confirmation and clarity from the city on the future leasing agreement for our new home, we need to look to the future of the club and its teams and ask ourselves this, 'Who will step up and coach or find coaches who will guide our top-tier Interior teams in the continuation of our successes in the British Columbia Rugby Union (BCRU) Lower mainland divisions?'”
To register, email BCRU rugby co-ordinator Laura MacKay at lmackay@bcrugby.com.
