Bouvette backstops Rockets to victory
The Thompson-Okanagan Rockets were 1-1 at the 34th annual Mac’s Major AAA Midget Hockey Tournament in Calgary as of KTW’s press deadline on Wednesday, Dec. 28.
Kamloops products Tara Bouvette, a goaltender, Kiana Karolyi, a forward, and Cora Sutton, a defenceman, play for the Rockets.
The Rockets opened the tournament on Monday, Dec. 26, with a 6-4 loss to the Calgary Flyers, but bounced back on Tuesday, Dec. 27, with a 4-2 win over Prince Albert.
Bouvette started in goal for the Rockets against Prince Albert, making 35 saves on 37 shots.
Thompson-Okanagan, in its round-robin finale, meet St. Albert today (Dec. 29) at 5 p.m.
The tournament runs through Sunday, Jan. 1.
