Back the Pack
The TRU WolfPack men’s and women’s basketball squads are hosting the UBC Thunderbirds this weekend.
The women’s games tip-off at 6 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 13, and 5 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 14, with the men’s games to follow on both nights.
All games will be played at the TRU gymnasium.
Follow the leaders
The WHL’s B.C. Division-leading Kamloops Blazers are hosting two Western Conference foes from south of the border this weekend.
Kamloops is hosting Seattle on Friday, Jan. 13, and Everett on Saturday, Jan. 14.
Game time for both games is 7 p.m at Interior Savings Centre.
Survey the Storm
The Kamloops Storm of the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League are hosting the Osoyoos Coyotes on Saturday at McArthur Island Sports Centre.
Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
Kamloops was two points back of the league-leading Beaver Valley Nitehawks and five points clear of the Revelstoke Grizzlies atop the Doug Birks Division as of KTW’s press deadline yesterday (Jan. 11).
Keep your eye on the ball
The Sa-Hali Sabres and NorKam Saints are hosting the senior girls’ basketball Sabre-Saint Classic on Friday, Jan. 13, and Saturday, Jan. 14.
Teams from the Interior and Okanagan regions will compete for the title.
The championship game is scheduled for 6:15 p.m. on Saturday at Sa-Hali secondary.
Also this weekend, the Sabre-Saint-Broncs Junior Girls Classic will be played at Sa-Hali, NorKam and Brocklehurst middle school.
The tournament final is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Saturday at Brock.
