Cross-country camp at Sun Peaks Resort
Sun Peaks Resort is hosting a cross-country skiing camp on Saturday, Jan. 28 and Sunday, Jan. 29.
The camp will be instructed by Gunner Rasmussen and Denys Lawrence.
Rasmussen was an assistant coach for the 1988 Canadian Olympic Nordic team and has raced and medalled in provincial, national and international cross-country skiing events.
Lawrence spends his winters instructing and coaching all levels of cross-country skiers at Silver Star Mountain Resort near Vernon.
The Nordic camp starts at 9 a.m. on both days and includes two hours and 30 minutes of daily instruction with video analysis, lunch, a special camp souvenir and a Sports Centre pass providing access to showers, the pool and hot tub.
The camp is $199 for the whole weekend, plus a valid Nordic pass from guest services.
