Double L 4-H club in action

The Double “L” 4-H club has just held its first meeting of the new year.

Our club has both horse members and outdoor-living members.  There is still time to join so, if you have a horse or are an outdoorsy person between the ages of nine and 20, please go online to bc4h.bc.ca for contact information.

Last year, our club had a very successful year and this could not have happened without the help of so many people in our community.

I would like to thank Nicole and Andrew Cant with High Country Photography for donating their time to take photos for our stall cards.  I would also like to thank Colleen Meyer, owner of Circle Creek Ranch, for letting us host a mini-fair at her beautiful facilities.

A huge thanks also goes to the town of Barriere for pulling together and hosting a very successful Provincial Winter Fair.

Thanks as well to the Rose Hill Farmers Institute for its generous and continued support over the years. I also want to thank all the people who help judge at our public speaking competitions, our demo day and our mini-fair.

The first activity on our agenda is public speaking and demonstrations.

These will take place at the Knutsford Hall on Feb. 18, beginning at 9 a.m. The public is welcome to come out and see what our public speaking days are like.
