Penguin slide returns to Sun Peaks
The Penguin Belly Slide is returning to Sun Peaks Resort.
On Sunday, Feb. 19, contestants will slip into penguin suits and race down three-lane slalom courses in teams of three.
The inaugural race took place on Tod Mountain in 1984 and ran for six years on the Burfield T-bar run.
This year’s race will take place on Lower Sundance Mountain.
Registration opens at 8 a.m. Participants must be 19 or older.
