Storm blow into playoffs
The Kamloops Storm are heading into the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League playoffs on a roll.
Kamloops dispatched the Summerland Steam 12-4 in junior B action at McArthur Island Sports Centre on Sunday, Feb. 19.
Storm forward Chase Edwards racked up four goals and seven points in the win.
On Friday, Feb. 17, the Storm traveled to Chase and beat the Heat 3-1.
Kamloops (35-10-1-6) finished the regular season in second place in the Doug Birks Division, setting up a first-round matchup with the North Okanagan Knights (35-16-01), who finished third in the Birks Division.
Game 1 of the division-semi-final best-of-seven series is scheduled for 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 24, at McArthur.
Game 2 gets underway at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 25, at McArthur.
