Owls rule the night
The Kelowna Owls claimed the Okanagan boys’ AAA championship on Saturday night (March 3) at South Kamloops secondary, knocking off the host Titans 92-72 in the final.
Kelowna will represent the Okanagan at the provincial AAA boys’ championship later this month.
Jacob Adams, with 23 points, and Spencer Jarozsuk, with 19, led South Kam in the final.
Mitch Goodwin, who was named tournament MVP for the second straight year, scored 35 points for Kelowna.
The Rutland Voodoos beat the NorKam Saints 80-79 to win bronze.
NorKam was led by Mike Basran, with 33 points, and Jeremy Bosher, with 15.
Basran was named a tournament all star, as were Jarozsuk and Adams of South Kamloops.
