Storm sunk in third extra frame

It took triple-overtime for the Sicamous Eagles to knock off the Kamloops Storm in Game 2 of a second-round Kootenay International Junior Hockey League playoff series on Wednesday, March 7, at McArthur Island Sports Centre.

Jagger Bowles scored for the Eagles at 18:29 of the third overtime frame to give Sicamous a 4-3 victory.

Tyler Jackson (2) and Colten DeFrias scored for Kamloops, which went with Marcus Beesley between the pipes.

Beesley stopped 79 of the 83 shots that came his way.

Kris Drott, the Eagles' netminder, made 55 saves on 58 shots.

With the series tied 1-1, Kamloops will travel to Sicamous for games 3 and 4, scheduled for Friday, March 9, and Saturday, March 10, respectively.

Game 5 is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Monday, March 12, at McArthur.
