Podium finish for Armstrong
Dylan Armstrong of Kamloops placed third in shot put at the Aviva London Grand Prix, a Diamond League event held in England on Saturday, July 14.
He threw 20.46 metres.
Reese Hoffa of the U.S. won with a 21.34-metre toss, while Tomasz Majewski of Poland won silver, throwing 21.28 metres.
After five of seven Diamond League events, Armstrong holds second spot in the overall standings with 10 points.
Hoffa leads with 12 points.
