Venom take Game 3
The Kamloops Venom are one win away from reaching the junior B provincial lacrosse championship in Victoria.
Kamloops knocked off the Vernon Tigers 17-8 in Game 3 of the best-of-five Thompson Okanagan Junior Lacrosse League final on Monday, July 23, at Memorial Arena.
Vernon led 8-6 early in the second period, but Kamloops clawed back and ran away with the game in the third frame.
Scoring goals for the Venom were Jamie Forster, Jerome Thorne (4), Ben Saklofsky, Chris Case (2), Blaine Boomer, Riley Donahue (2), Marc Dumont, Quinn Smith (4) and Jimmy Latin.
The Venom can wrap up the series on Wednesday, July 25, when Game 4 gets underway in Vernon at 7:30 p.m. at the Wesbild Centre.
