Kamloops Venom claim junior B lacrosse title
The Kamloops Venom are the Thompson Okanagan Junior Lacrosse League champions.
The Venom clinched the title with a 15-10 win over the host Vernon Re/Max Tigers in Game 4, eliminating the Cats 3-1 in their best-of-five set on Wednesday, July 25, at Wesbild Centre in the North Okanagan city.
Riley Donahue powered the Venom offence with five goals and some stellar playmaking ability.
The visitors led 4-3 after one period and extended that to 10-5 after two.
They advance to Junior B provincials, which will take place from Aug. 3 to Aug. 5 at Bear Mountain Arena in Juan de Fuca on Vancouver Island.
