TRU runs well in Salmon Arm

The TRU WolfPack cross-country running team’s captains Chris Curl and Rolena deBruyn had strong showings at an Interior Running Association race in Salmon Arm.

Curl placed first in his age category and fourth overall in the men’s division, while deBruyn was second in her age category and 10th in the women’s division.

Also placing were Cole Parker, third overall in the men’s 16- to 19-year-old division, Mark Tovee, third in the

20 to 29-year-old category and Alanah Stewart, third in the women’s 20 to 29-year-old ranks.

Lexi Thorne and Dyrian Olson placed fourth and fifth, respectively, in their age categories.

Coach Jack Miller also ran and placed first in his age category.

The WolfPack will attend the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association Pacific Western Athletic Association Invitational this weekend at UBC Okanagan in Kelowna.

“This is the best start that we have experienced in our nine years as a team,” assistant coach Duane Seibel said.
