Pack’s weekend on the pitch

The TRU WolfPack men’s and women’s soccer teams came out even after a weekend of Pacific Western Athletic Association (PWAA) play.

TRU’s men were blanked 1-0 by the Langara College Falcons in Vancouver on Saturday, Sept. 16, a day after posting a 2-0 win over the Quest Kermodes in Squamish.

The WolfPack women topped Langara 3-1 in Vancouver on Saturday, but lost 1-0 to Quest in Squamish on Friday.

Laura Smylie, Marlie Rittinger and Taylor Miller scored for the Pack’s women on the weekend, with Ashley Raynes notching both of the men’s goals.

TRU’s women sit atop the PWAA standings at 3-0-1, while the men are fifth at 1-1-2.

Both teams are playing this weekend against Capilano University in North Vancouver and against Vancouver Island University in Nanaimo.
