Kamloops club wins provincial award
The Kamloops Classic Swimming club is Swim B.C.’s 2012 club of the year.
Head coach Brad Dalke and assistant Patrick Waters accepted the award on behalf of the club at Swim B.C.’s annual awards banquet and the B.C. Swimming Hall of Fame induction ceremony in Vancouver on Saturday, Sept. 15.
The Classics had 18 swimmers qualify for age-group nationals this summer and Dylana Milobar was named rookie of the meet at senior nationals in Edmonton.
Kamloops finished 33rd overall out of 180 clubs at age-group nationals.
The Classics were recognized for having a great volunteer base and being involved in the community.
Dalke plans to display the trophy in the lobby at the Canada Games Aquatic Centre.
