Wildcats absorb punishment
The peewee Kamloops Wildcats were shutout 39-0 by the hometown Vernon Yellow Jackets in community football play on Sunday, Sept. 30
Wildcat Quarterback Carsen Day targeted receivers Ben Prokopetz, Cameron Treadwell and Reggie O'Rourke for 106 combined yards, with Marcus Kyle and Prokopetz adding another 72 yards on the ground.
Sean Smit and Rorik Munson led the defence with 12 combined tackles, with Colby Griffiths, Dwight Eccles, Brennan Ettinger, Isiah Lunot, Gregory Griffiths and Mathew Stahope contributing 14 more.
The Wildcats take their 2-4 record on the road to Kelowna on Sunday, Oct. 7, to square off with the Lion
