Shaking off the cobwebs

Kamloops Gymnastics Trampoline Centre [KGTC] athletes recently attended the Cobweb Invitational in Kelowna.

Placing first in their respective categories were Jennaya Motokado, Lauren Wotten, Jade Wood and Chantal Martens.

Shayla Gifford, Emily Matthew, Emillee Gal and Christine Strain won silver in their respective categories.

Bella Wood and Emma Guertin placed fourth overall in their divisions, while Taylor Gray placed sixth overall.

Next up for KGTC is Winterfest, which runs from Jan. 25 to Jan. 27 in Coquitlam.

Scott Nabata, the club’s top male gymnast, is spending most of December training in Japan.

His first meet of the season is an Elite Canada event in Edmonton in February.

KGTC’s gymnasts start the season with the Shasta Invitational, which runs on Feb. 2 and Feb. 3 in Burnaby.

Home base for KGTC is the Tournament Capital Centre.
