Andrew Armstrong knifes through powder this week at Sun Peaks Resort, where 97 centimetres of new snow fell between Dec. 10 and Dec. 17.

The white stuff has been coming down at a record-setting pace this month.

The all-time mark for new snow in the month of December was set in 2006, when 247 centimetres fell from the sky.

As of Tuesday, Dec. 18, there were 138 centimetres of new snow on the ground, with 12 days left until the new year.
