Blazers lose in shootout
Tyler Stahl scored the shootout winner in a 3-2 victory for the hometown Victoria Royals over the Kamloops Blazers on Wednesday, Jan. 16.
Cole Ully continued his stellar play with a goal and Dylan Willick rounded out the scoring for Kamloops, which went with Taran Kozun between the pipes.
Steven Hodges of the Royals bookended the regulation-time scoring — his 15th of the campaign the game's first goal and his 16th the last.
Patrik Polivka made 31 saves and picked up the win in net for Victoria.
Kamloops finishes a gruelling road trip on Friday, Jan. 18, in Kennewick, Wash., where it will play the Tri-City Americans.
The Blazers return home on Saturday, Jan. 19, to host the Royals.
