Wayne Saboe and his Kamloops Curling Club rink are heading to nationals after winning the B.C. Masters Men's Curling Championship in Lake Cowichan on Sunday, March 3.

Down 5-3 after six ends in the final against Gerry Gelowitz of Kelowna Curling Club, Saboe scored three in the seventh and sealed the win with one in the eighth.

The Saboe rink — third John Pisarczyk, second Vince Hunter and lead John Cox — posted a 1-2 record in round-robin play before hitting the gas in the playoffs, recording four-straight wins en route to gold.

The Canadian Masters Curling Championships will get underway on April 8 in Thunder Bay, Ont.
