Sabre girls bumped from provincial championship contention
The Sa-Hali Sabres were eliminated from title contention at the AA girls B.C. High School Basketball Championships on Thursday, March 7.
Wellington secondary of Nanaimo downed Sa-Hali 57-37 at the Tournament Capital Centre, relegating the Sabres to the consolation bracket.
Haley Cochran led Sa-Hali with seven points, with Karson Hawgood and Karlee Poeschek scoring six apiece.
The Sabres will play a consolation game against Prince George today (March 8) at the TCC. Game time is 10:45 a.m.
