St. Ann's in action at single A provincials
The St. Ann's Crusaders won a consolation game 69-38 over Cedars Christian of Prince George at the A provincial high school basketball championships in Abbotsford on Thursday, March 7.
Jeevan Bains and Braden Smith — who was named player of the game — each scored 17 points in the win.
St. Ann's, ranked ninth heading into the tournament, can still finish as high as sixth.
Next up for the Crusaders is a game with Glenlyon Norfolk of Victoria on Friday, March 8. Game time is 1:15 p.m.
St. Ann's lost its opening game 89-79 to St. John Brebeuf of Abbotsford.
Michael Mayhew scored 31 points for the Crusaders and was named player of the game.
