Hanes injured in dust-up at Cactus Jack's

A physical altercation at Cactus Jack's Saloon during the Western Hockey League's Christmas break has left Kamloops Blazers' forward Ryan Hanes with what is listed as an upper-body injury.

Kamloops Blazers' general manager Craig Bonner is meeting with Hanes today (Jan. 3) and did not want to comment until he knew the whole story.

"I don't want to speculate because I don't think it's fair to anybody to do that." Bonner told KTW.

The extent of Hanes' injuries will not be known until he meets with a team doctor, which is expected to happen this week, according to Bonner.

The 19-year-old last played in Moose Jaw against the Warriors on Dec. 17, when he registered an assist in a 4-3 shootout loss.

He has been out of the lineup for four games.

Hanes is in the midst of his most productive season, racking up five goals and 14 points in 35 games.

He recorded four goals and 12 points in 70 games last season.
