Kamloops Blazers' forward Brendan Ranford scores his second goal of the game, and the Blazers' fifth of the night, in Kamloops' big 5-1 win over Tri-City at Interior Savings Centre on Wednesday, Feb. 8. Ranford beat Americans' goalie Eric Comrie after converting a pass from linemate Colin Smith, whose dipsy-doodling before sliding the puck to Ranford will be on many highlight reels. The victory gave Kamloops a four-point cushion on Tri-City in the race for the Western Hockey League's Western Conference crown. The Blazers are tops in the league and are the third-ranked club in Canada. Kamloops has a home-and-home series against B.C. Division rival Kelowna this weekend — Friday, Feb. 10, at home (7 p.m. start) and Saturday, Feb. 11, in the Little Apple.
