An appetite for a party to send Redmond off in style

After a dozen years keeping lawyers, judges, litigants and other courthouse users fed and fuelled, Rychard Redmond is hanging up his apron for good — and court staff are throwing him a party.

Redmond has been the sole operator of the coffee and sandwich shop on the second floor of the Kamloops Law Courts since 2007.

He has opted to retire and his last day is Friday, May 31.

Staffers and lawyers are hosting a pot luck lunch for Redmond on Friday between noon and 1:30 p.m. in the courthouse library on the third floor.
