An icing call at Peter Puck in Kamloops

Young Peter Puck participants celebrated Kamloops Blazer Logan Stankoven’s 18th birthday recently with cupcakes after an on-ice session at Valleyview Arena.

The young skaters actually made Logan do 18 push-ups — one for each time he has circled the sun.

While the Western Hockey League was off the ice due to the pandemic, Stankoven has helped teach the Peter Puck kids since last September.

The forward and his Blazer teammates will be back in action as of March 26 as the WHL’s B.C. Division begins a 24-game schedule.
