Banks band together to donate to wildfire relief fund

Canadians who wish to support the relief effort can also make donations directly through the banks or online at https://redcross.ca.

A number of banks have teamed up to donating a combined $360,000 to the Canadian Red Cross to support the agency in helping those impacted by wildfires.

Banks involved are Toronto Dominion, Tangerine, Nova Scotia, Royal, National, Hong Kong of B.C., Canadian Imperial and Montreal.

In addition, the Royal, Nova Scotia and Canadian Western banks are accepting cash donations from the public in their branches until July 28 to support the Canadian Red Cross in its wildfire relief endeavours.
