Kamloops Chamber of Commerce has announced finalists of this year’s business excellence awards. On Wednesday, the finalists were announced at Match Eatery and Public House. The winners will be announced during the Business Excellence Awards Gala on Oct. 21.
The finalists are:

• The Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers Excellence in Trades: Five Oak Contracting Ltd., Jul Construction Ltd. and Middleton Energy Installations and Middleton Energy Services Ltd.;
• Kubera Retailer Award: Far and Wide, Real Deals on Home Decor Kamloops and Nu Leaf Produce Markets;
• CN Service Provider 1-10 Staff Award: Ocean Pacific Adventure Sports, CentreCore HVAC Services Ltd. and Nuance Dance Studio;
• Kamloops This Week Service Provider 11-plus Staff Award: Kamloops Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Centre, NextGen Electrical Services and Middleton Energy Installations and Middleton Energy Services Ltd.;
• BCLC Innovation Award: New Gold Inc.- New Afton Mine, Arrow Transportation Systems Inc and Monte Creek Winery;
• Kamloops Chamber of Commerce Development of the Year: Arpa Investments Ltd., Kelson Group and Nationwide Self Storage and Auto Wash LP;
• Kamloops Chamber of Commerce Employer of the Year: Cutting Edge Consulting, JUL Construction Ltd. and Forward Law;
• Community Futures Thompson Country Emerging Business of the Year: Friendly Composting, Bright Eye Brewing and Pepper - Your Badass Business BFF Inc.;
• TRU School of Business and Economics Young Entrepreneur of the Year: Calli-Jo Duncan (Far and Wide), Jon Hudon (Ocean Pacific Adventure Sports) and Cassidy Watt (Cassidy Watt Artistry Collective);
• Kamloops Chamber Not-For-Profit of the Year: Mount Paul Community Food Centre, Ask Wellness Society, Kamloops and District Elizabeth Fry Society and Mustard Seed Kamloops;
• Venture Kamloops Small Business of the Year: Thompson Cleaners and Tailors, Nu Leaf Produce Market and Fiddleheads Violin Studio;
