The city has awarded $33,000 in unallocated social and community development grants to the Kamloops Symphony Society, A Way Home Kamloops and BGC Kamloops (formerly the Boys and Girls Club.)

The city announced the grants on Nov. 24, following a call out to non-profits earlier in the fall.

The city received 26 applications from charities and non-profits. Three grants were awarded for the following totals: $17,253 to Kamloops Symphony Society, $9,000 to A Way Home Kamloops and $6757 to BGC Kamloops. The funds go toward special projects, operations and capital costs. The funding must begin in 2021 and can last one year.
