The 2023 Arrival of the Cup Ceremony took place on Thursday, May 25, at the Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc Powwow Arbour.

The ceremony, attended by about 500 people, including the public and dignitaries, saw the introduction of the Memorial Cup and the four teams vying to win it: the host Kamloops Blazers, WHL champion Seattle Thunderbirds, OHL champion Peterborough Petes and QMJHL champion Quebec Remparts.

KTW's Dave Eagles was at the event at the Powwow Grounds and captured images.

The tournament begins on Friday, May 26, when the Blazers play the Remparts at Sandman Centre. Faceoff is at 6 p.m.


Friday, May 26: Quebec vs. Kamloops, 6 p.m.

Saturday, May 27: Seattle vs. Peterborough, 3 p.m.

Sunday, May 28: Kamloops vs. Peterborough, 3 p.m.

Monday, May 29: Seattle vs. Quebec, 6 p.m.

Tuesday, May 30: Peterborough vs. Quebec, 6 p.m.

Wednesday, May 31: Kamloops vs. Seattle, 6 p.m.

Thursday, June 1: Tiebreaker game (if required), 6 p.m.

Friday, June 2: Semifinal game, 7 p.m.

Sunday, June 4: Championship game, 4 p.m.
