A Kamloops man is $75,000 richer after matching five out of six numbers, plus the bonus digit, in the May 21 BC/49 lottery draw.

The winning numbers in that draw were 7,17, 19, 26, 28 and 30. The bonus number was 40. The $2-million grand prize was won by someone who bought a ticket in Nechako Lakes.

Jeff Hanson said he plans to buy a new travel-trailer and bike with his windfall.

He purchased his ticket from the Esso station at Salish Road and Halston Avenue and was out of town when he discovered he was a winner.

“My first though said. “I wasn’t sure if I was seeing right. I’m excited.”
