Dionne has held the position of commanding officer since November 2014. The commanding officer oversees 126 soldiers in Kamloops and Prince George.

The ceremony will take place behind Sandman Centre at 1 p.m. It will include a formal march of current and former guard members, including several war veterans, and will be followed by a regimental association dinner for regiment members to connect and celebrate.

There will be parking and driving restrictions in the park area beginning at 6 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 14.
