Six is Enough for victory in eighth annual Team Spelling Bee

The eighth annual Team Spelling Bee was won on Thursday by Six is Enough, with the local book club taking the title in a double-tiebreaker round.

Six is Enough dethroned a team from Thompson Rivers University that had been spelling bee champions for the past four years.

This year’s Team Spelling Bee was held downtown in the Delta Hotel Kamloops (former Hotel 540).

The event featured 17 teams and more than 120 participants, with more than $12,000 raised for Literacy in Kamloops.
