Thompson Rivers University’s annual Day of Giving, which raises funds to support students, will take place on Thursday, Nov. 5.
The annual 36-hour event usually kicks off at the TRU Foundation Breakfast, but that traditional gathering has been sidelined due to the pandemic.
This year’s Day of Giving will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday and end at 8:30 p.m. on Friday.
The university’s goal is to raise $36,000 in those 36 hours.
“This is a chance to help students aspiring to become nurses and carpenters, artists and entrepreneurs,” said Brian Daly, TRU’s vice-president of university relations.
“Anything that donors can give is deeply appreciated and reinforces to these students that they are worth investing in because they are our future,”
Donations can be made online at tru.ca/givingday or by calling 778-471-8469 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
