The City of Kamloops is seeking volunteers to pick up litter and debris on streets and park trails.
The city’s adopt-a-road/trail program has returned, following a hiatus during the COVID-19 pandemic. The program resumed on June 1, in accordance with public health guidelines.
The province recently rolled out plans for a gradual reopening, with gatherings expanding, indoor dining, group fitness and worship services permitted and sports teams hitting the fields.
The adopt-a-road/trail program has been around for several decades, with more than 125 groups and individuals caring for dozens of trails and kilometres of Kamloops streets.
Volunteers adopt at least one kilometre of roadway or one trail in a city nature park.
