Blue Man Group coming to Kamloops in April

The Blue Man Group is coming to Kamloops.

The iconic trio of blue-headed bald men known for their music, custom instruments and creative stage antics, will perform at Sandman Centre, 300 Lorne St., on April 27 and April 28.

The group debuted at New York’s Astor Place Theatre in 1991. Its live show has since expanded to multiple U.S. cities and Berlin.

Cirque du Soleil acquired the show in 2017 and has since expanded it to audiences around the world.

“With no language barrier to overcome, as the Blue Men don’t speak, fans of all ages, cultures and nationalities can enjoy the experience,” said executive director Benoit Mathieu.

The group has also established itself in pop culture, appearing in shows like Dancing with the Stars, The Tonight Show, Arrested Development and The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Two shows are scheduled for Saturday, April 27, and another at 3 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets for the shows will go on sale Monday, March 11, available online at
