If you’re missing the theatre during times of pandemic, a little made-in-Canada cinema is not out of the question.
On Wednesday, April 22, Reel Canada will celebrate National Canada Film Day with a film festival distributed over a number of networks and services.
Those showing films include CBC, CBC Gem, Encore+, Netflix, Hollywood Suite, Crave, the National Film Board and others.
The day is centred around canfilmday.ca, which will host livestreams and point viewers in the right direction, depending on what they want to watch. During the day there will also be activities for kids, including games, printable colouring pages and online scavenger hunts, in addition to a list of kid-friendly films.
Beginning at 6 p.m. there will be a livestream available on the website featuring conversations with filmmakers and industry professionals and short submitted videos.
