Free Comic Book Day will return on Saturday, May 6.
The annual event, in which major comic book publishers release special comics to be given away for free, will be celebrated at High Octane Comics in downtown Kamloops.
Titles up for grabs include Avengers, Spider-Man & Venom, Justice League, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Conan the Barbarian, Star Trek and Star Wars.
"There’s a wide selection of comics for all different ages and interests. It’s all about trying to connect with readers of all types," said High Octane assistant manager Randy Wagner.
Wagner said Free Comic Book Day was quieter during the pandemic years, but this year's edition is returning in "full-swing."
The first Free Comic Book Day was held in 2002 and the event has grown internationally since then.
